Who We Are

Founded in 1997, CBI remains steadfast in our commitment to ending the affordable housing crisis.  In order to accomplish this, more housing is needed to be made available and affordable to low- and moderate-income households.  Strong partnerships and collaboration with federal, state, and local funding agencies are an integral part to successfully developing and preserving affordable housing in our region.

The diversity of our organization allows us to offer a broader and more adaptable range of services to meet the needs of our residents and community. Our property management team assists residents in times of hardship to connect them to partner organizations with programs and resources available to help keep residents in their home. These strong partnerships are key to eviction prevention and strong landlord-tenant relationships.  We are proud to have an all-female leadership team and a diverse Board of Directors, which includes at least one resident from our properties.

About Us Community Basics Inc.

CBI remains steadfast in our commitment to provide quality affordable housing for all.  Our policies and practices include robust anti-discrimination policies; including an Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan, protections for victims of domestic violence, a Language Access Plan for individuals with limited English proficiency, and CBI is an equal housing opportunity provider.  As we continue to learn and further our diversity, we know that more work must be done to remove systemic barriers to create an equitable and inclusive community.
